Welcome to the Third International Symposium of Anesthesia and Surgery! This conference is intended to address issues related to facilitating health care delivery in El Peten.  

All talks will be rigorously limited to 25 min, allowing 5 minutes for questions and answers. Anesthesia and Surgery providers are strongly encouraged to submit an abstract for consideration of presentation and publication.   

All participants will be required to provide a 250-word abstract of their talk, which will be published in Aid Via Action Global Health Journal.  Additionally, all participants are welcome to submit a full manuscript for consideration for publication in AidVia Action Global Health Journal

The deadline for abstract submission will be December 1, 2026.  The deadline for a full manuscript submission will be December 15, 2026.  All full manuscripts will be subjected to peer review, and publication is not guaranteed.  There will be no publication fees.

Registration:

This year, registration will be performed via email and online.  Please email the course directors to confirm your participation and agree to present on the given day and time.  If there are any changes, please inform the course director via email no later than December 15, 2024.  Once the official publication of the itinerary has been published, there will be no changes to the assigned day and time for the talk.

Credit for participation and hours will be provided to Guatemalan attendees. ALL attendees MUST register to receive credit: Registration Closed.
